Simel Sarıalioğlu
Simel Sarıalioğlu specializes in commercial arbitration, arbitration-related court proceedings, and commercial litigation. She has served as counsel in numerous arbitration cases conducted under the rules of ICC, ICSID, ISTAC, LCIA, SMA, UNCITRAL, VIAC, and WIPO. She also acts as an arbitrator in commercial arbitration cases. With experience in disputes spanning the telecommunications, media, technology, construction, insurance, customs, pharmaceutical, and retail sectors, Simel Sarıalioğlu is well-versed in resolving conflicts.
She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb) in London since 2010. Sarıalioğlu actively participates as a guest speaker in international arbitration courses at leading law faculties in Istanbul. From 2017 to 2019, she served as the ICC YAF Turkey, Middle East, and Africa Regional Representative. She frequently speaks at local and international conferences on international arbitration and has several publications in the field. Since 2019, Who's Who Legal: Litigation and Who's Who Legal: Arbitration have recognized Simel Sarıalioğlu as one of the "future leaders" in the field.
Simel Sarıalioğlu is a member of the Istanbul Bar Association, ArbitralWomen, ICC YAF, Queen Mary International Arbitration Alumni Association, and Private Izmir American College Alumni Association. She also serves on the management committee of the Silicon Valley Arbitration and Mediation Center Young Arbitrators Group and is listed on the panel of neutrals of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
