Dr. İsmail Esin

Dr. İsmail G. Esin began his professional career in 1992 as a research assistant in the Department of Civil Law at Marmara University Faculty of Law. İsmail Esin later resigned from his position in 1996 to pursue his doctoral studies in Germany. After completing his doctorate in 1997 and returning to his homeland, he started working as a practicing lawyer and currently serves as a partner lawyer responsible for Dispute Resolution and Real Estate Law departments at Esin Attorney Partnership. In 2011, Esin Attorney Partnership joined the Baker & McKenzie International, Swiss Verein community.

İsmail G. Esin's areas of expertise include mergers and acquisitions and international arbitration. He is recognized as a leading lawyer in the fields of mergers and acquisitions, commercial arbitration, and commercial disputes by The International Who’s Who, Chambers & Partners, and Legal 500. In addition to his legal practice, Esin has been teaching at Marmara University (1997-2004), Istanbul Bilgi University (2002-2009), Galatasaray University (2005-2006), and Yeditepe University (2013-2015) since 1997. Furthermore, he is the author of several books including Mergers & Acquisitions (2020), Arbitration in Turkey (2014), M&A Transactions under Turkish Law (2004), International Arbitration Legislation (2003), and Sachmaengelhaftung beim Unternehmenskauf (Liability for Defects in Mergers and Acquisitions) (doctoral thesis, 1997).
